Star Anna and DJ Lance Romance: A Benefit for the Lovely Davis Women

There will be an auction, a performance by the amazing Star Anna, tunes all night from Dj Lance Romance, and $1 from every drink sold will go to these wonderful women.  If you're lucky enough to know Gena and Jodi Davis, then you probably know what they are going through right now.  If you don't know them, then you most likely know someone who has gone through this and know how difficult times can be.  Please come out and have a great time while helping some great friends of the Skylark.  Here is a little bit of their story.

The original GFM campaign was launched so that Gena and Jodi could take a vacation to Italy and help cover other costs related to Gena's care. Gena's fight with stage four ovarian cancer has suffered a major setback. Gena was hospitalized a few weeks ago for several days with a bowel obstruction. When Gena was discharged she returned home and is is now receiving hospice care with Jodi continuing to be one of her primary care providers. Hospice requires that all of your insured costs be billed towards that specific care. This means that all of the all of the alternative care and therapies Gena was receiving must come out of pocket. She no longer has coverage for her acupuncture aromatherapy regime and the nutritional regime (to name a few) that has been crucial to her comfort and quality of life. Jodi was unjustly fired from her job the day she applied for FMLA. Financial support at this time is of extreme urgency as bills for treatment and living costs are becoming exorbitant. I am in complete awe seeing the huge outpouring of love and support that has come from their community of friends and family. Their continuance of support is needed now more than ever.
