Rat Paws is made up of three traumatized queens. Eleanor, the lead Rat, standing at 5'1, writes the songs, and the rhythm girls flesh them out with #bosslady aplomb. Eleanor also plays guitar while she sings. When she writes, the guitar and lyrics come all at once because trauma magic. As problematic queen Courtney Love has accurately stated, lyrics are a premonition. Anyway, there's a lot to unpack here in the way of genre, but if you're an indiehead then you can skip this chapter. For everyone else, Eleanor is a Fall fan and Shimmy Disc devoté who's played way too many GbV covers and just might be Kim Deal and Bob Pollard's missing love child.
