The Basement formed in summer 2025, when five performers from Seattle's School of Rock "Glam" show stayed together after the session ended. Our shared love of David Bowie, Queen, T. Rex, and the Pixies got us started as a house party and open-mic-night cover band. But the moment we performed and original song on stage, we all felt an immediate tectonic (and sonic) shift in favor of our own music. Songs range from trippy dreamscapes, to funk inspired fun, to tongue-in-cheek bangers. And we still sprinkle a few deep cut covers still into our sets. We're committed to excellence, to well crafted vocals and harmonies, and killer guitar tone. We're ready to gig, and already have a following of friends, family, and School of Rock cohorts, ready to fill your club!
