Thea’s Wedding Band is the most recent project between two sisters Lousia Mae (vocals and guitar) Seda (vocals and guitar) , their father Benjamin (guitar) and step-father Jeff (banjo) occasionally joined by drums. The group brings a unique blend of rhythmic, melodic harmonies, falling in the grey area between DIY northwest folk, americana and traditional. A sound similar to that of Neko Case and the Corn Sisters, or Celexico. Having grown up influenced by both long-time musicians Benjamin and Jeff, the sisters add harmony driven old time folk rock vocals to Benjamin's intricate finger pick style and Jeff's unique approach to banjo picking.  2025 saw the release of the band's first EP, a cover record titled Return to Zero which is dedicated to their many musical influences from the Pogues to Lucienda Williams. The EP was recorded on an analog fourtrack Tascam 424, the actual fourtrack Elliott Smith used to record his 1995 album Roman Candle. Most of the tracks were taken in one or two takes, lending to the ambience of a live record.  The advantage of having experienced musicians Benjamin and Jeff, both of which have played in multiple bands spanning the past 35 years, while also having emerging musicians Lousia and Seda, has allowed for a mix of skill and novice, new and old all at the same time
