Kumité formed in the summer of 2018. Their sound can only be described as dark hip-hop blended with head banging psychedelic rock with ominous beats & thought-provoking lyrics.
Palatine Trio weave sparkling melodies, intricate rhythms, and ambient looping to keep audiences on their toes. While originally a three-piece, Palatine Trio's current four members blend their diverse musical backgrounds, including classical jazz and traditional Zimbabwean marimba music, to make one of the freshest sounds on the Seattle scene today.

Kumité formed in the summer of 2018. They prepared for 2 years by writing, rewriting, and mastering their craft. They booked their first show for March 21st, 2020, but the lockdowns went into effect and the show was cancelled. Once the lockdowns began, the members of Kumité retreated back to their studio and took the opportunity to re-examine their music and the approach they took toward forming their sound. During the lockdowns, they deconstructed and reconstructed their songs and until they were satisfied. In order to generate some buzz around their 1st single release "Ominous Steps," they hosted a live stream in an effort to showcase their new and unique sound. They began playing shows in late 2021 and have been active since.
